JWS has rebooted with new leadership and a new name. East Side Softball will maintain the focus on skill development, teamwork, and developing personal qualities that are beneficial to individual and team success. To provide a fun experience in competitive athletics, so future participation in Junior Warrior and high school athletics will be extremely desirable. To have the athlete learn the value of hard work, a positive attitude, enthusiasm, good attendance, self-control, fairness, and being a good teammate. Having a strong desire to compete, showing respect for the sport, and learning skills necessary for high school success are desired outcomes..
East Side Softball is dedicated to providing the opportunity for young girls to participate in the great game of softball without the restriction of cost getting in the way. Our scholarship program is funded exclusively by donations. It is with the cooperation of the Cedar Rapids community we are able to meet the needs of our players. Will you be a part of that community?
Coaches Needed
JWS has rebooted and is in need of dedicated individuals to coach. Coaching opportunities are currently available at the U10 age levels. Our players are looking for someone who can breakdown the skills, bring engaging drills and conduct effective practices all while fostering a love of the game. Are you that individual?
